End of tenancy carpet repair, tidy up & carpet cleaning specialist
Quotations are based on current costs and are valid for acceptance within 7 days.
Room Preparation: Rooms must be clear of furniture and the sub-floor must be clean and dry before my arrival. I do not move furniture or perform sub-floor preparation, such as screeding or ply-boarding. If furniture remains when I arrive, I may either refuse to fit your new carpet on that date or charge a fee to move any items of furniture I am comfortable moving.
Colour Variations: Carpet shades may vary slightly between dye batches. Therefore, the colour should be considered a guide rather than an exact match.
Price Increases: Any manufacturer’s price increases since the date of the original quotation will be passed on to the customer if goods need to be specially ordered. This does not apply to goods already in stock.
Stock Availability: I will not be responsible for any stock goods sold before the acceptance of our quotation. Additional costs incurred to obtain necessary stock will be passed on to the customer.
Order Verification: It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the carpet and colour/code on the quotation are correct before ordering. I will order exactly as specified on the quotation.
Appliance Disconnection: The customer must disconnect, remove, replace, and reconnect any electrical appliances (e.g., TVs, Hi-Fi units).
Radiator Preparation: Ensure all radiators are securely attached to the wall, with all bolts tight to prevent water escape before my arrival. I will not be liable for water leaks from radiators when lifting old carpet or fitting new carpet around pipes.
Underfloor Heating and Pipes: Inform me if there is underfloor heating or if water pipes are close to the surface around the edges of the room, as this may be affected by gripperods or nails.
Payment Terms: Payment of a large deposit is required before ordering, cutting, or fitting as I cannot guarantee customer-provided measurements. All End of Tenancy jobs must be paid in full at the time of order. Balance must be paid within 7-days of fitting.
Delivery and Stock: Deliveries of non-stock items may experience delays. While rolls typically arrive within 8 to 9 working days, I cannot guarantee this timeframe. Sundry materials not itemised on the quotation may be charged later based on usage.
Door Removal: If necessary, I may remove doors if the carpet/underlay is too high for the door to move freely. The customer is responsible for arranging door cutting/shaving and re-hanging.
Disposal of Carpets: I do not dispose of wet carpets or those affected by carpet moths. I charge for disposing of old carpet/waste at La Collette dump due to the time involved.
Our Arrival: I cannot guarantee the exact arrival time, though an approximate time will be provided. I work Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. If leaving a key, inform me of its location and what to do with it afterward. Keys must be provided at least 12 hours before the installation date/time.
Scope of Work: I am there solely for installing new carpet and cannot undertake any additional work or fit your own carpet without being paid for that additional work.
Safety: Keep children and animals away from the working area as I use sharp tools.
Access Fees: If I cannot access the property at the agreed time and after making all reasonable attempts to contact you, a call-out fee based on my current rates may apply.
Insurance: I carry standard Third Party insurance for damages caused by negligence but are not responsible for accidental damage while moving customer’s furniture.
Payment of Balances: All balances are due within 7 days of installation. Unpaid balances may incur an overdue fee, plus ongoing monthly administration fees and interest charges until paid in full.
Payments: I accept only card payments for down-payments, deposits, or full payments. No cheques or cash are accepted. All advance payments are non-refundable and indicate acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Storage: Storage of carpet is free for up to 3 weeks upon arrival. After this period, a charge of £5 per roll per day will apply.
Credit Options: I do not offer credit facilities. However, if you are experiencing financial difficulties, I may be able to arrange a flexible payment plan to accommodate your situation.
Ownership: The goods referred to in this quotation remain the property of Jersey Carpet Fitter until paid for in full.
Terms and Conditions: I reserve the right to update my terms and conditions regularly without notice.
